Now then, back in my school days, I used to be able to complete the mind-twisting puzzle that is Mr Rubik’s Cube in about a minute. Sadly I’ve long since forgotten how to do the final row, so my slightly-more-than-three-decade-old Cube sits all alone on a shelf in the garage gathering dust! But now it seems the Cube’s fortunes have been revived by a group of American artists who’ve got together to add their own twist to the Cube’s story – recreating famous works of art and creating their own masterpieces out of hundreds of Rubik’s Cubes. Great stuff. Though they are cheating by only ever having to get one side right on each Cube. See more of their artwork at www.cubeworks.ca
